Dr Catherine Huckle (DClinPsy, BSc (Hons), MBPS, CPsychol) is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist registered with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Catherine is fully insured and her work is supervised in line with BPS policy.
Catherine obtained her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from University College London (UCL), and has a first class honours degree in Psychology from the University of Southampton.
Catherine has worked in the NHS for over 17 years in a range of settings including various community outpatient services, specialist eating disorder services, older adults services and paediatrics.
Alongside clinical practise, Catherine worked as a Senior Lecturer and Joint Programme Director on the Clinical Psychology doctorate programme at the University of Surrey until September 2023. Catherine continues to contribute to the training of the profession as an Associate Clinical Tutor for the programme.
Catherine is passionate about the impact of nature and green spaces in relieving psychological distress and enhancing mental health. She is the clinical lead for the Guildford hub of green prescribing charity Dose of Nature.
Catherine is committed to sharing psychological thinking to promote wellbeing, relieve distress and support recovery, and this is reflected in her research, academic publications and media contributions.
Catherine lives in Epsom with her husband and two children, and spends her spare time gardening, encouraging her family outside and having new adventures.
